Home Sweet Home

The current challenge on CD Sunday is Home Sweet Home.  I was in the middle of making my christmas cards when I came across this image which I had printed out ages ago.  Just right for the challenge.  The backing paper and image are from Joanna Sheen's Victorian Christmas, which was one of the first CDs I got.

F is For

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is F is for ... in this case F is for Fans!  The image and backing paper for this card are from Joanna Sheen's Elegant Fans.  Together with a couple of dies cuts and a rose.

A quick edit as Carol has asked for details of the dies.  The fan one is a Tattered lace one, and the swirl/leaf one is Marianne - Anjas Vintage Swirls.

Christmas/Winter

The second challenge this month on Crafters Companion is Christmas/Winter.  I have used both the original Snowman CD and the CD from the latest Crafters Companion Inspiration magazine to create this card.

BABY

Crafters Companion have two challenges this month due to technical difficulties last month.  This is my card for the first of the two challenges 'Baby'.  I have used Centura card with the Baby Blocks embossing folder from craftwell.  The image is from the Mooreheads CD.

Simply Square

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Simply Square.  I have been busy making Christmas cards for the last few weeks and one is Square, so just right for the challenge.  Most of it is die cut!  However, the backing paper is from a CD, which is Crafters Companion Humphreys' Corner Ho, Ho, Ho, so hopefully this counts!

Stripey

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Stripey.  I am really late with this card, had a busy week including a trip to the NEC on Thursday!  Hope this card fits the challenge as it does have strips albeit very thin ones together with much thicker ones.  I have used MCS Young at Heart CD.

Travels Abroad

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Travels Abroad.  I had to make a card for a friend who is spending her 50th birthday in New York, and thought that it would fit the bill for the challenge.  I have used Debbie Moore's Glitter & Giltz New York CD to make this card.

Butterfly

I had a number of cards to make for a lady that orders lots of cards from me.  This is one that I made from Debbie Moore's Shabby Chic Butterflies and Flowers.

To the moon and back

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'To the moon and back'.  Gosh it was really hard trying to find an image with the moon in!  In the end I choose this one from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Dreams by Josephine Wall.

1950's

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 1950's.  I didn't quite get it right last week as I did snow and not snow people!  Still hopefully I am on track this week.  I use MCS Fab Glam Fiftes for this image.  I am not sure that the photo shows it too well but the brown border has been punched using an X-cut perforator stencil and stiched with gold thread.

CD Sunday

This week challenge on CD Sunday is Snow.  I haven't been able to join in for the last couple of weeks as I have been so busy!  Just sneaking in at the last minute this week, well with only half an hour to go.  This card is make using the Best of La Pashe 2012.

Crafters Companion

This month's challenge on Crafter's Companion is Embossing.  At last I have got round to making a card for this challenge!  I have use Centura Pearl hint of silver card together with some silver mirror card for all the elements of this card.  I used the Snowflake Swirl embossing folder by Darice and Die'sire Snowflakes dies.  I finished the card with gems and a die cut Swirls and Merry Christmas.

Add a Number

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Add a Number'.  I had to make a card for a friend's birthday, and knowing she is a big lover of cupcakes I just had to use this image!

I used MCS Klever Konstruction, Once in a Lifetime CD for the image and backing paper. 

Party Paws

I have had this CD from Crafters Companion since March, but although I had looked through the images I had not used it yet.  I decided it was just what I needed to complete 2  challenges in one!

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Transport.  The image and backing paper on this card are from MCS Men-y Happy Returns CD.

Boys will be boys

The current challenge on Joanna Sheen's blog is Boy will be boys.  I have used Faye Whittaker's CD from Joanna for this card. The image, backing paper and elements have all be taken from the CD.

Christmas in July

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Christmas in July.  Seems a bit warm to be thinking of Christmas this month, last month maybe!  Anyway I have used The best of La Pashe CD for the image, and Joanna Sheen Christmas Creations for the backing paper.

Hats

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Hats.  I have used Debbie Moore's CD One Fine Lady for this card.

Pretty in Pink

I have been really busy recently and not able to take part in any of the blog challenges.  I thought that I would try to change that this week, I have made one card which I think meets a couple of challenges.

I have used Crafters Companion Paintbox Poppets CD, together with core-dinations card.  I also used a 6x6 embossalicious Regal Frame for the embossing and Die'sire Magic Mirror Die.

Summer

It's doesn't feel much like summer at the moment as it is raining heavily outside!  Still this month's challenge on Crafters Companion is Summer.  Here is my card, I have used Centura Pearl card and Die'sire Classical Frame die from Crafters Companion.  Of course it goes without saying that I used my Ultimate Pro to score the card, as I always used it to do that!

Ornate Blossom

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Ornate Blossom.  I hope this card counts as it is an Ornate Orchid.  I used Joanna Sheen's Heart of the Garden CD, the images are by Jane Shasky.

Masculine

This month's challenge on Crafter's Companion is Masculine.  I had to make a 65th birthday card with a cricket theme, so I used Crafter's Companion hobbies CD for this card.

Music & Lyrics

The current challenge on Joanna Sheen's blog is Music & Lyrics.  As I had to make a 50th jazz card I thought I would enter it into the challenge.

Weddings

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Weddings'.  I had a number of card orders to make ready for today.  One just happened to be a wedding card! Which had to have the couple's names, date of the wedding together with the congratulations etc on the front.  This is it, I used MCS Craft Essentials CD.

Purple Paradise

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Purple Paradise'.  Like Wendy my favourite colour is also purple, in fact I have a purple top on at the moment.  This card is from an early Debbie Moore CD 'Glamour', I like the images so much that I still use it a lot.

Flowers

This month's challenge on Crafters Companion is 'Flowers', it closes tomorrow so I thought I better get moving with my card.  Here is one I made for a friend's wedding anniversary.

I have used a digi stamp image from SWALK papercrafting CD, together with papers from the SWALK collection.  I have also used co-ordinations card and my Spectrum Noir pens (I still need more practise using them!).  I used various dies and of course the flowers!

Majesty

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Majesty'.  If I thought I was late last week posting my card this week is even worse.  I have just got in after being out all day and realised that I still had a card to make for a male birthday on Tuesday, and it has to be posted!  So with the challenge in mind I came up with this card.  Might not be the Majesty you were thinking of, but he definately was one (a long time ago!).

I nearly forgot to say that I used Joanna Sheen's Egyptian Adventure CD.

'Thank you', that's this week's challenge on CD Sunday.  This week has just flown by, and I am fast running out of time with this card.  So I have done a very quick card from Debbie Moore's Shabby Chic Music CD.

Through the window

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Through the window'.  I have been busy making cards ready for my sale tomorrow at the monthly U3A meeting and decided to make one using this theme.  I have used Joanna Sheen's Nostalgia CD, together with a number of dies.  With the piano in the room they had to be musical dies!

Sugar and Spice

It's been a really busy week as I was getting ready for my card group yesterday, which just lets say didn't quite go according to plan!  I also had a number of card orders to make, one of which I thought would be perfect for this week's challenge on CD Sunday.

I have use Joanna Sheen's CD which is Jane Shasky's Heart of the garden.  I have highlighted the icing with cosmic shimmer.

Bundle of Joy

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Bundle of Joy'.  I have had this topper and sentiment printed from MCS out for a while, so decided I just had to use it.  You can just make out the stork carrying the bundle of joy!  The backing paper is from Crafter's Companion Popcorn CD.

Vintage

There are a couple of challenges that I had in mind when I made this card.  The first is on Crafter's Companion challenge blog which is 'Vintage'.  I have used their Crisalis CD for the image, and backing paper.  I have also used a number of dies and punches to complete the card.

The second challenge is on Joanna Sheen's Blog which is 'Come rain or shine', I like to think this is definately a come shine card.

Wonderful wings

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Wonderful Wings'.  I just finished putting this card together and realised that I had better get it on the blog quickly as I will run out of time otherwise as I am off to the NEC tomorrow and Friday.  Hope to see some of you there.  I used Joanna Sheen's Heart of the garden CD, seems to be a favourite of mine at the moment.

Land of the Pharaohs

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Land of the Pharaohs'.  I have used Joanna Sheen's Egyptian Adventure CD to make this card.

Mum's the word

The current challenge on Joanna Sheen's blog is Mum's the word.  I was asked to make a special mother's day card by a friend for her mum, she wanted a BIG and special card.  So this is what I came up with.

Birthday card

I had an order for a Birthday card, which is needed for tomorrow!  I really don't know where the time is going at the moment.  I decided to combine 2 blog challenges into the design of this card as well.  I used Joanna Sheen's Heart of the Garden CD for the main image, sentiment and backing paper.  I then layered the image onto some green card which was then layered onto some white card to match the base card.  The butterfly was cut with a Cheery lynn die from the same card.

Anniversary card

I needed to make an Anniversary card and decided to try to combine 2 challenges into the card.  I have used Crafters Companion SWALK Papercrafting CD, together with a couple of spellbinders dies.

Spring is in the air!

Well this week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Spring is in the air'.  Wish it felt like it, as it has turned very chilly again today.  The main image on this card is from Joanna Sheen's Floral Fantasy CD,  I have gone to town and used lots of punched flowers, leaves  and gems to embellish it.  I also used Martha Stewart's lattice punch.

Hello Doily

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Hello Doily'.  Well I have set myself a couple of challenges this year as well!  To use up some of the odd card stock as well as lots of toppers and other bits that I have already printed out, instead of reaching for a new piece of card and printing more images out.  So with that in mind here is the card I have made for the challenge using MCS (just don't ask which one because I can't remember as it is so long since I printed these out!).

Anything but a card

This month's challenge on Crafter's companion is 'Anything but a card'. As a friend was leaving the area I wanted to give a special present.  She had asked me to make a number of special cards for her family, so I decided to make a selection of cards for her to take with her.  I need to put the cards into a container, so I decided to make this large box using the Ultimate Pro.  I also made some ribbon roses to decorate it.

Forever in Blue Jeans

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Forever in Blue Jeans'.  It took me a while to find an image, but I found this one on Crafters Companion SWALK Papercrafting CD.  Printed it out at the beginning of the week, and then could not decide what to do with it!!!  I tried so many things and nothing seemed to go together.  So with time rapidly running out I set to work today, found a card the perfect colour, but still no inspiration.  In the end I have kept it very simple and use my Spellbinders fancy lattice die (for the first time).

New Beginnings

The current challenge on Joanna Sheen's blog is 'New Beginnings'.  I made this card using the Messy Rabbit CD for an new baby.

Vintage vogue

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Vintage Vogue, I have used Debbie Moore's One Fine Lady CD for this challenge together with one of my new spellbinders.
