This week's challenge on CD Sunday is all about Birthdays.  Here is a card that I made ready for a December Birthday using Crafter's Companion's Occupations CD.  Think you can guess what he does for a living!

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Teddy Bears'.  I have used Docraft Forever Friends CD to create this card.

With Love at Christmas

This week's card used Joanna Sheen's CD ' Thomas Kindade Christmas' for the image.  I have then use the cuttlebug folder Brocade window together with a spellbinder snowflake die to finish.

Christmas

Well I have been very busy trying catch up on making my christmas cards.  Here is one I made using Crafter's Companion's CD 'The Snowman'.  I made the image quite large so decided that I didn't need to use a backing paper, but used spellbinders to lift the image. (Think I must have had the camera on a slight tilt - sorry).

Nature

I was asked to make a card for a lady in her 80's with a giraffee on.  So I use Joanna's Sheen's Animal Antics, which was one of the first CDs I think I bought.  Both the image and backing paper are from this CD.  I have then use Spellbinders and Britiana dies to finish the card.

This month's challenge on Crafter's Companion is 'Favourite Colour Combination' and this coffee and cream combination is one of mine.

Layer it up

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Layer it up.  I was asked to make a 25th wedding anniversary card and as this seems to fit the bill for the challenge I decided to enter it.  I have used MCS and Martha Stewart around the page punches.

Rainy Days

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Rainy Days'.  The main image on this card is from Crafter's Companion Paintpot Poppets and the backing paper is from Joanna Sheen 'House Mouse.

Christmas in Pink

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Christmas in Pink'.  I have use MCS 'Crafty 'e' Christmas, Crysal Sparkles' for this card.

'Silhouettes'

The current challenge on Joanna Sheen's blog is 'Silhouettes'.  I have used Joanna's Dancing with Shadows CD to make this card.

CD Sunday

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Beautiful Blue'.  This is the card I have made for the challenge using Crafter's Companion Popcorn CD, a Martha Stewart punch and some card cand.

October

It is a friend's 60th birthday this weekend, and I have just got around to making her card.  There are a number of Autumn themed challenges as well this month, and as it definately looks like Autumn out there I decided to go with that for the card.

I have used a mixture of CDs, the flower fairy and backing paper are from Crafter's Companion 'Fairyopolis'.  The leaves are from Joanna Sheen's 'Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady'.

Special Occasions

Over on the Spectrum Noir blog they have a challenge of 'Special Occasions'.  I have been collecting the pens for sometime and added to my collection earlier this year when I was lucky enough to win a set on their blog hop.  I decided it was time to actually use them, so as my first project I have made this Christmas card for the challenge.  I think I need a lot more practise!

I used the free Nigel May stamps that came with the Crafter's Inspiration magazine, stamped with Memento London Fog as I wanted a soft outline.  Coloured with the following spectrum noir pens (they all have the older style tops so the numbers may not match with the newer ones).

1 - Red Wine
11 - Carmine
33 - Melon Yellow
51 - Dark Green
68 - Turquoise Blue
104 - Brown Grey

The toppers were then cut with my new spellbinders, Resplendent Rectangles and Fancy Framed Tags One.  The backing paper is from Crafter's Companion Vintage Christmas.  I finished off the card with some paper poinsettias.

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Christmas'.  So here is a card that I have made this week with my card group.  I have used La Pashe 'The big one' for the card.

Tea Time

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Tea Time'.   I chose this image and matching backing paper from the new House Mouse CD.  Have to say that I kept it simple as I didn't have much time to make it!

Gold

This month's challenge on Crafters Companion is 'Gold'.  What could be more appropriate than this card that I have just made for a Golden Wedding anniversary.  I have use a Cuttlebug embossing plus die 'He Loves Me' with punched flowers from Martha Stewart and spellbinders dies.

Awash with Flowers

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is Awash with Flowers.  I have used Joanna Sheen's 'If Flowers could talk' cd for the image and backing paper.  The butterfly is made with a Cheery Lynn die.

Feline Friends

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Feline Friends'.  I made this card using an image from Joanna Sheen's Jayne Netley Mayhew's CD.

Need for Speed

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Need for Speed'.  I have used MCS to make this card which I think meets the challenge.

I'm back

Well at long last I am back!  Just a short update on events over the last two months.  We had a water leak in the house which has meant that all my craft stuff had to be packed away!  Just glad none of it got damaged with the water.  I have been busy sorting the house out including redecorating where necessary, although it is not all finished yet I can at least now see the progress.   I also had a torn retina, so had to have some laser surgery on that, which of course meant that I couldn't do very much at all.  With luck I will now be able to spent some more time crafting.

On to much more interesting things.  I was asked to make a card for a 21st birthday with beer and football (it is the first card I have made in the two months!).  I am entering it into the CD Sunday challenge 'Allsorts', the football and beer images are from MCS and the backing paper is from Wine Buffs.

Summer Daze

I was asked to make a card for a male gardener, so used this image from 'You're never too old'.  The backing paper is from Crafters Companions 'Cute Companions'.

Christmas card

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is a sketch card.  I couldn't decide what to do, in the end I decided to try to use up some of my Christmas stash as I need to try to make some christmas cards as it is only 6 months away.  The backing paper and image are from Crafters Companion Popcorn CD.

I am also entering this into the Winter Wonderland challenge which is 'Monochromatic'.

Delicious Damask

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Delicious Damask', I had some problem finding suitable backing paper for this.  In the end I used MCS CPG In Your Element CD and produced this card.

This month has gone by so quickly, I have been so busy that I almost missed the challenge over on Crafters Companion of 'Here comes Summer'.  As soon as I saw this Seraphina image I knew it was just right for this challenge, even if it is a quick and easy card.

I had to make a card this week for a friend's birthday, hope she doesn't see it on here before her birthday!

I have used Debbie Moore's One Fine Lady CD for the image and backing paper. A Marianne die for the flourishes and I have used promakers on the rose to tone in with the image.

CD Sunday

Well another busy week, we were at Euro Disney from Monday until Thursday with our grandson who turned 4 at the end of April.  A good time was had by all but I think we were all tired when we got back.

This week at CD Sunday the challenge is 'reflections'.  I have used the Glitter Girls Media board to make the tv and Joanna Sheen's Cottage Garden CD for the image.  I have also added some flowersoft and small crystal flowers.

Well it been a very busy week and I have just found time to get onto my blog.  This week's challenge on CD Sunday is trees, this is from La Pashe Now Decoupage CD.  Perfect for when you need a quick card as there is not much to cut out and you don't need to think about the design.

There are a couple of flower challenges this week, so I thought I would make this card using La Pashe 'Nice and Easel'.  The backing paper, beads and roses are from my stash and I used 2 spellbinders for the border.

CD Sunday

This is the last week of my April guest designer spot over on CD Sunday.  It's been a fun month, thank you ladies.  I will still be popping in to join the challenges.  This week the challenge is 'Cream, chocolate and one other colour'.  I was also asked to make a wedding card, the invitation had 2 wedding cakes on, one cream and one chocolate, so I went with the colours and wedding cake.  The backing paper, image and senitment were all done with MCS A piece of cake.  I used a spellbinder to mount the seniment on, a Glitter Girls board to emboss the side and some chocolate pearls to finish the card.

It was my goddaughters birthday this week, and she is mad about horses so I made this card for her.

Someone Special

This is a card I made for our grandson's 4th birthday at the end of this month.  I used La Pashe Framin' cards, but decided to put the frame on the inside framing the verse.

I decide that I ought to try to make a few Christmas cards inbetween all the others I have to make.  Some friends have got some new kittens, so I thought this card would be purrfect  for them.

CD Sunday

Over on CD Sunday this week the challenge is 'Sweets for my Sweet'.  I choose an image from MCS Advanced Encyclopaedia, the backing paper is also from that CD.  The twisted ribbon effect uses quilling papers.

This week's challenge over on CD Sunday is 'Ring a Roses'.  I was also asked to make a special birthday card for a friend's mum's 80th birthday, so I combined them and came up with this card.

The backing paper is from Crafters Companion Men's CD.

Card Order

I was asked to make a card with a body building theme, which I found to be quite difficult.  I finally found an image on MCS Its a boy thing.  It has taken me about a week to finally put the elements together to make this card.

CD Sunday

This week's challenge on CD Sunday is 'Toybox Treasues'.  I have used an image and backing papers from MCS Young at Heart.  I mounted the image onto some darker purple card, used the same card and punched out a matching piece.  I then added some embellishments that I got free with a magazine sometime ago!

It's an exciting month for me as I am a guest designer on CD Sunday!!  This week's Debs from Debbee's cd's gave all the design team some files and backing papers to work with.  The challenge is called 'All sewn up', and here is the card I designed from one of the images.  Hope you all like it!

There are a number of challenges this month where the theme is Spring.  As I am running out of time I have made this card to cover a few challenges, not something I do often.

CD Sunday

It's been a busy week this week as I had a card sale at my monthly U3A meeting yesterday.  So I have spent quite a few days making up cards for that.  This is the first challenge I have been able to think about this week, and I really struggled for an idea apart from fairies!  Then yesterday I was asked to make a card for a guy.  So this one is a male imagine with images from MCS!!
